COVID-19 Update: May 1, 2020
The Palouse Empire Fair Board had a round table discussion at their regular meeting on Monday, April 27th regarding the impact of COVID19 on the annual Palouse Empire Fair. The Board is very concerned about what impact the Pandemic will be on the 2020 Fair. The Board and Fair Management are evaluating the many facets involved with the Fair, including Carnival, Junior Livestock Sale, Rodeo, and Entertainment. The Board will meet and continue the discussion on May 18th. The Board hopes the Governor will provide a clear stance on what the reopening of Washington State will look like.

The Mission of the Palouse Empire Fair is to promote, develop, and improve the agriculture, livestock, business, industry, and home life of residents and visitors. Honoring traditions while conducting fairs, exhibits, entertainment, and educational programs further this goal. All activities should promote the fostering of good fellowship, good sportsmanship, and good citizenship and encourage the conservation of the soil and other natural resources of Whitman County.
The annual Palouse Empire Fair and Rodeo begins Thursday after Labor Day.
